Debit Card Users

We have had a big rise in Fraud the last few weeks. The fraudsters are getting smarter and using cards at places that haven’t been forced to upgrade to be EMV compliant yet. In an effort to protect our members, we are requiring PINs for some transactions.

At the Credit Union, we have some major tools that can help keep your card safe, and also alert you of possible fraud:

Now, you can have greater spending control and protection from fraud for your card. My Mobile Money lets you manage your kstate CREDIT UNION debit card with customizable alerts that let you know when, how and where your card is used.  You can set your kstate CREDIT UNION debit card up and turn it on and off when you choose.  This app can alert you to transactions occurring on your card in real time; plus, block transactions with parameters you set, i.e. any card present transactions being done outside a zone around your phone.

1. Open the app and have your debit card handy
2. Click on the "Sign Up Free" button
3. You will be prompted to enter your card number
4. On the next screen enter your name, your CVV (3-digit security code), and your card expiration date to verify your identity
5. After you accept the app Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy, you will be asked to enter your email address, user name and password.  You will also need to enter your full name.

1. Setting up Alerts
2. Enabling Denials
3. My Location & Region
4. Shared Card management & delegating access
5. Account Management - including viewing recent transactions

This is one of the most secure ways for you to use your debit card.  Mobile wallet payment methods are more secure than physical cards because mobile wallets use methods such as encryption and tokenization to mask payment card account numbers when you enter them and when you pay. Your card number is never shared with the merchant. And, depending on your phone, you can use a PIN or your fingerprint to verify purchases, adding an additional layer of security.

Leave your wallet in your pocket or purse – or even at home. Now, you can add your kstate CREDIT UNION debit card to your mobile wallet and pay from your phone at any participating merchant.
